One by one, I caught them. My patience was rewarded when I caught them all. I double checked by peering inside the hole. It was all hard work. Finally, I closed and sealed the last remaining opening.

To be doubly sure, I took the possums far, far away before I finally set them free. For days I felt proud of myself. I declared the house possum-free and it’s all because of me. I didn’t need the help of a professional possum removal company. But in reality, it was only a false sense of security. I called in my last salvation – the possum removal company. They are so efficient ion their work, that my effort paled in comparison. The holes were plugged and the whole roof strengthened. I really should have called them first.

I will never forget the time, years ago, when I was looking for a new church home for my young and growing family. During the process, I visited quite a few churches in the community. One Sunday I visited a church that initially looked wonderful. The church had a nice cheerful sign out front, modest landscaping and a facility that appeared to be well maintained. I attended the service and really enjoyed the sermon. The people were friendly; I thought I might have found the church I was looking for.

After the service, I asked if I could see the children’s ministry area. My hosts obliged and took me down a flight of stairs into the basement. My feelings quickly changed, as I saw that the children’s area was in total disrepair and clearly not a priority of the church. I thanked my hosts and left, never to return.

The scriptures of Hinduism are vastly distributed among its followers, and have a very strict relevance to the daily activities. We live together in a generation which has moved away from God in their hearts and from the virtues and solidarity with those around them. However, in the midst of this generation, there is a remainder, who cry out and say: Lord, I don’t care what the others are doing, I want to be faithful to you, I want to be a man or woman of values, of sensitivity, I want to stand true and persevere until the end.

For Christians, it is fundamental to be followers of Jesus Christ, followers of what is proclaimed in the Gospel. If we make Him Lord, not only do we call Him Lord, but we also put him above all other things, we love Him, and make Him the most important person in our lives, we place Him in first place in our lives, we crown Him as God over our lives; this is what it is to be a Christian! This is what it means to make Jesus the Lord!

The teachers should care about children and teach in fun and creative ways. Teachers should use every tool at their disposal to make their lessons meaningful and invite the children to explore all the wonders that God has to offer. Children’s Sunday school should be a fun and exciting place to visit.

Maps of the various children’s classrooms and children’s worship center should be predominantly displayed within the entrances into the children’s area. This allows parents to locate the area in which their children belong and reassures the children that they will not be lost in the shuffle

The Democratic primary just concluded, and Representative Kendrick Meek upset billionaire Jeff Greene. Greene paid for his campaign by himself. This didn’t seem to help within the primary.

Alaska is last

Sarah Palin is in Alaska. This is part of why the U.S. Senate race is being watched. Lisa Murkowski is the incumbent and has been for a when. Sarah Palin, nevertheless, is endorsing Tea Party Jeff Miller. The race was close to a tie. Miller led by a very small amount. November will show the actual success of the Tea Party, although the primaries have shown a little success.
